This is the privacy policy of sites in the Beamtic network, such as gaming.beamtic.com and beamtic.com.

When a user visits this site, various available data is collected for purposes such as, site statistics and improving the user experience of the site.

Most data collected consist of standard server logs, these are mainly used to debug potential errors on the site. Logs are often deleted entirely when they are no longer needed. Currently they are not deleted on a consistent basis, but generally we might delete logs whenever the technology of the site is updated.

The data collected is typically limited to logging of client requests, along with the corresponding server responses. But, it also includes data that users provide themselves when creating a profile.

Cookies

Cookies are used by Beamtic to remember users that are logged in, and for specific site-features that depend on them to function. One of these features is the cookie consent message, which uses a simple cookie to remember the choice of the user.

No personal information is stored in cookies on Beamtic, and login (session) information stored in the cookies, has been securely hashed, so this information is not useful to anyone who should obtain it.

Registered users

When a user creates an account on Beamtic, certain information is required in connection with their membership. This includes the following: A way to contact the user, such as a valid e-mail address or phone number.

The information is only used doing the activation process, and for users own account interactions, such as when recovering a lost username or password. It is important that users keep this updated, as we will not be able to assist, should they loose their password.

Partners and third parties

Beamtic's partners may collect the same available data as Beamtic, that is, what is typically revealed by web clients. This data might be used for purposes not known to Beamtic, and we have no control over what the data might be used for.

If you are really concerned, you should instead direct your attention towards Browser developers, as they are the ones often deciding which privacy sensitive technologies are implemented (I.e. Cookies).

Cookies is a fairly safe technology, and it is often used to anonymously track users for purposes such as helping deliver more relevant, and targeted ads, which in turn improves the user experience – not to mention the revenue for the website owner – and presumably it also decreases ad-blindness caused by irrelevant, spammy, ads.

Google Adsense

Beamtic uses Google Adsense to show ads to users visiting our site. Google is using technologies such as cookies, and web beacons to collect certain information about the behavior of our visitors. This is central to the capability of showing better, and more relevant ads to users.

The information used may include the below:

  1. Prior visits to our website and/or other websites
  2. Operating system / Browser
  3. Ip Address and ISP
  4. Country
  5. Referrer
  6. In some cases, whether you have Flash installed.

Specifically, Google uses the DoubleClick cookie to show ads on our website. You can read more about advertisements from Google Adsense at advertising opt-out page / more information, and control your advertisement preferences on the ad settings page.

Google analytics

Beamtic currently uses Google Analytics for statistic purposes. When the statistics is not needed, the plugin code will be disabled on the site.
